Mlungisi Ndwandwe, affectionately known as Mil, is a lifelong business student with a keen interest in the relationship between people and money - more precisely, in how organizations maximize enterprise value.
Based in Boston, he is currently plying his trade as Senior Director of Strategy Execution at Gordon Brothers, a special situations investment and advisory firm focused on strategic asset optimization. In this role, he reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the company’s strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, global expansion, business model innovation, and market strategies.
Before his tenure at Gordon Brothers, Mil held significant roles in the financial services sector. He served as Chief of Staff to the President & CEO and Head of Strategy at a regional commercial bank in New York. His career in strategy began in the insurance industry after Sun Life Financial recruited him into its rigorous three-year Rotational Leadership Development Program.
Hailing from the Kingdom of Eswatini, Mil ventured to the United States to pursue higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from Skidmore College as a United World College Davis Scholar and later an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School. His commitment to the global catallaxy and its human participants has garnered him numerous accolades, including the Philip Frieze & Philip Gordon Award in 2021, the "Mkhanyakudze" Swaziland Music Association Special Recognition in 2019, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Corporate Leadership Award in 2016. He continues to contribute his expertise by serving on the Skidmore Alumni Association Board of Directors, as well as the boards of Kwakha Indvodza and the Leadership Growth Forum.
In addition to playing corporate conjurer masquerading as a strategist, Mil is a critically acclaimed music producer and has served as an advisor to Ambrose Dlamini, Eswatini's former Prime Minister.
